The aims of protecting the past


Protecting the Past 2019 will take place between Tuesday 10 – Friday 13 December, in Agadir, Morocco. It is organised by EAMENA in collaboration with Global Heritage Fund (GHF), ICCROM-ATHAR Regional Conservation Centre, the Wilaya and Region of Souss-Massa, the University of Ibn Zohr and the Institut National de l’Archéologie et du Patrimoine (INSAP). It will explore how heritage professionals and institutions can work together with individuals and communities in the protection, conservation, and recovery of cultural heritage to which they are socially or spatially connected, and in decision-making processes about this heritage.
